Who are we?
The company was started by our Late Chairman Shri Swarna Kumar Ray Chaudhuri (popularly known as SKRC in business circles) in the year 1978 for manufacturing domestic inverters to provide backup power during power failures in Kolkata. Being guided by the visionary, GPT has never looked back - with constant penchant for self improvement and innovation the group has diversified and expanded. We are manufacturing, exporting, supplying, turnkey executing and maintaining various renewable energy, power backup, cooling and energy efficiency projects with a PAN India focus.
GPT is also a premier Business Partner for Vertiv Energy (previously known as Emerson Network Power) and through the Vertiv product portfolio, has access to mission-critical uninterrupted power supply systems and precision cooling equipment.
The company has a factory of over 18000 sq. ft located in the heart of the city in Kolkata and has spare installed capacity and provision of ramping up infrastructure and manpower in a very short notice. The Thea brand solar inverters is from this production line.

INTRODUCING BACKUP INVERTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN INDIA
The first commercially produced domestic inverters were manufactured by us way back in the late 70s and subsequently has been exported to Bangladesh, Africa, Nepal Sri Lanka etc
